CU Swimming Shines in Twin Meet towards Peace Pacers

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University males’s and girls’s swim groups hosted Peace University in a twin meet on Saturday afternoon of their house season debut. The Hawks marked the occasion with a double win on each the lads’s and girls’s sides, giving newly employed head coach, Lucas Pels, his first collegiate wins.

Chowan took first place in 18 of the 28 whole occasions in Saturday’s meet. The Hawks set the tone early within the meet with back-to-back relay wins to open the meet. Liz Cabrera took 1st within the 100 meter freestyle on the lads’s facet with a ending time of 54.65, adopted by Reedy and Goode with instances of 59.63 and 1:07.81 respectively. 

Idrissi took house one other occasion win within the 200 meter backstroke with a time of two:50.28 and Romic completed first within the 200 meter breaststroke with a time of three:03.62. The males’s 200 meter freestyle group of Mitchell, Grenier, Goode, and Reedy  wrapped the meet up with a primary place end with a time of 1:48.15. Belolipetskii, Liz Cabrera, Nelson Fernandez, and Markovic took 2nd place with a time of 1:51.09.
