Maroon swim competes in tri-meet at Kingsport

Location: Kingsport, Tenn. (Kingsport YMCA)

The Short Story: The Roanoke College males’s and girls’s swimming groups traveled to Kingsport, Tennessee Saturday to face Catawba College and Milligan University, however fell to each faculties.

Catawba is a Division II college, Milligan competes within the NAIA.

Top finishes (ladies):

*The 200 medley relay staff of Julianna Morrow, Kate Pearson, Halle Schart and Claire Ballard positioned fourth in 1:52.83. The identical 4 student-athletes took fourth within the 200 free in 1:41.68.

*Morrow was fifth within the 100 again in 59.91.

*Schart took eighth within the 200 free in 1:59.76

*Ballard swam a 25.85 within the 50 free to put fifth and was eighth within the 100 free in 57.82.

*Pearson positioned fourth within the 200 IM in 2:14.43 and was seventh within the 100 breast in 1:10.29.

*Carter Satterfield was fifth within the 500 free in 5:28.73.

 

Top finishes (males):

*Jack White, Austin Hartsell, Tyler Hill and Dyllan Hartman completed sixth in 1:39.23 within the 200 medley relay.

*Ryan Franceys was second within the 1000 free in 10:04.67.

*Peyton Meyer took fourth within the 500 free in 4:54.14 and seventh within the 200 free in 1:48.12.

*Hill completed fourth within the 100 fly in 51.12 and fifth within the 50 free in 21.98.

*White positioned sixth within the 100 again in 55.54.

*Franceys, Regan Euker, Hill and Hartman swam a 1:27.29 to complete fifth.
