UMW Males’s Swim & Dive Tops Franklin & Marshall, 158-104

The University of Mary Washington males’s swim and dive crew took down Franklin & Marshall in Lancaster, Pa., 158-104, on Saturday afternoon.

To start the person occasions, Larry Almariento took the victory within the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:29.59. Then he completed first within the 200-yard freestyle with Sam Mahoney and Brandon Harvey ending behind him in second and third.

In the 100-yard backstroke, Tucker Burkey completed in second, then Will Burkey positioned first within the 100-yard breaststroke (59.83).

In the 200-yard butterfly, Johnathan Zimmer completed in first (1:58.19), whereas Evan Shelton completed in third. Meanwhile within the 50-yard free, Rece Storer completed in first (21.68), then he took the win within the 100-yard freestyle (48.09).

Will Burkey then completed first within the 200-yard backstroke, whereas Kyle Johnson completed in second. In the 200-yard breaststroke, Zimmer completed in second then Ihor Birioutchenski completed in third. In the 500-yard free, Thomas Sites completed in first (5:01.92), whereas Almariento completed in second with Mahoney in third.

Will Burkey completed first within the 100-yard butterfly (52.30) and Zimmer completed first within the 200-yard IM (2:01.07).

The Eagles are again in motion on Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. in opposition to Frostburg State in Fredericksburg.
