KINGSTON, R.I. — November 2025 — The University of Rhode Island Department of Music proudly presents Little Women: The Broadway Musical, carried out by the URI Lyric Stage Workshop with members of the URI Symphony Orchestra.
Based on the beloved novel by Louisa May Alcott, this sweeping musical adaptation brings to life the story of the March sisters—Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy—as they navigate rising up, love, loss, and the pursuit of their goals in Nineteenth-century New England. Featuring a lush rating by Jason Howland, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, and e-book by Allan Knee, the present celebrates creativeness, household, and resilience.
The manufacturing is directed by Rachel Hanauer, Artist Teacher of Voice at URI, with music route by Michael Kelly and Ryan Cox, choreography by Allison Campbell and Olivia Dufresne, and combat choreography by Eileen Goretaya. The technical and stage administration group consists of Jaqui Drobnis and Olivia Dufresne (Stage Managers), Jacob Wolf (Concert Hall Manager/Technical Direction), and Liam Knott (Light Board Operator).
