WELLESLEY, Mass. – Kendra Daily gained the 100 free in 53.53 completed second within the 100 again stroke (59.42) and was on the profitable 200 freestyle relay in as Merrimack break up with Wellesley and Simmons on Saturday.

“We had a ton of season-best swims today, so the swimmers and divers should all feel individually like they performed really well, but it sure is tough to lose by one,” Merrimack girls’s swimming & diving coach Erin Cammann mentioned. “Individually we had a lot of people shine, but collectively we came up a little short. I am both encouraged by the performance and frustrated by the result. But fundamentally the team is in a great place heading into the winter.”

Casey Bednarek gained the 200 freestyle (1:59.82), positioned second within the 100 again stroke and (1:00.77) and third within the 200 freestyle (2:17.89).

Cameron Zuliani gained the 100 butterfly (1:00.51) and took second within the 50 freestyle (25.54). Camilla De La Rosa positioned second within the 500 freestyle (5:28.40) and third within the 100 again (1:09.39).

Allie Hoovel completed second within the 200 butterfly (2:20.53) and Madison McAloon was third within the 50 freestyle (25.73). Kobi Young took third within the 200 breaststroke (2:43.43) and Maura Beltrami was third within the 200 butterfly (2:24.77).

Katie Alex gained the 1 meter with 232.20 factors and Sophia Ferrara took third.

The Warriors 200 freestyle relay group of McAloon, Keeley Harney, Zuliani and Daily gained in a time of 1:39.67, with the Merrimack group of Sa, De La Rosa, Ally Jacques and Emma McCarthy took second in 1:42.62. Daily, De La Rosa, Zuliani and McAloon took second within the 200 medley relay.
