Wrestling Claims First at Tiger Style Invite with 146.5 Factors

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri wrestling ended the day in first place with 146.5 factors on the Tiger Style Invite, held at Hearnes Center on Sunday, Nov. 9. The Tigers noticed 4 wrestlers deliver house high honors of their respective weight courses. 

Zeke Seltzer was the primary Tiger of the day to say gold, knocking off two National Qualifiers, Oklahoma’s Tyler Wells and Purdue’s Greyson Clark, en path to bringing house the title at 141 kilos. Redshirt senior Josh Edmond instantly joined him on high of the rostrum when he managed his strategy to the 149-pound title. Redshirt senior Max Mayfield claimed the title at 165 kilos in his first Tiger Style Invite, besting Marcus Espinoza-Owens of South Dakota. Missouri’s closing winner was redshirt freshman Aeoden Sinclair. Sinclair dominated his strategy to the ultimate with a technical fall and two pins, earlier than successful by forfeit within the closing.

Mizzou claimed its fourth consecutive crew invite crown with a commanding lead over the second-place Oklahoma Sooners (122.5). Additionally, the Tigers had 18 wrestlers place, with eight ending within the high three of their respective weight courses.  

MATCH NOTES

• The 2025 version of the Tiger Style invite marks the primary within the occasion’s historical past to be held on the historic Hearnes Center, with the earlier three iterations being held in Kansas City.
• With the Tigers taking the highest spot, Mizzou stays the one crew to win the Team Title on the invite relationship again to 2022.
