Women’s Swimming Falls to Clarion

CLARION, Pa. — The Bloomsburg ladies’s swimming crew misplaced to Clarion 147-95 to make their report 4-2. 

The Huskies opened the meet with the 400-yard medley relay. Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway), Morgan Keefer (Lewisberry, Pa./Northern York), Vanessa Valli and Sidney Beers (DeBois, Pa./DuBois Area) took second place with a time of 4:01.41. The crew of Sarah Pickel (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon), Sadie Ludwick (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff), Ashley Martin (Middletown, N.Y./Pine Bush) and Samantha Linsey (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) took 4th place within the race with a time of 4:06.95.

Next, three Huskies would compete within the 1000-yard freestyle. Ella Dittmar (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) would place first with a time of 11:19.72. Saryn McCullough (Newark, De./Newark Charter) fourth with a time of 11:29.67. Kaia Griffith (Pottstown, Pa./Spring-Ford) took sixth within the race with a time of 11:38.81.

Three swimmers competed within the 200-yard freestlye. Holmes took third within the race with a time of two:00.73. Keefer adopted her taking fourth with a time of two:01.02, simply barely ending earlier than Pickel who took fifth with a time of two:01.96. 

In the 50-yard freestyle, Rachel Cunningham (Hanover, Pa./South Western) took first with a time of 23.63. Beers took fourth, ending at 24.92. Olivia Igou (Flourtown, Pa./Springfield Township) took fifth at 25.58.

The 400-yard particular person medley featured a Grace McBlain (Aldan, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) taking second at 4:48.02. Maddie Fletcher (Wrightstown, N.J./Northern Burlington County) adopted to take third with a time of 4:51.21. Jordyn Kinnee (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) positioned fifth with a last of 4:53.52.

The 200-yard butterfly featured a first-place outing from Martin at 2:14.87. Griffith took fourth within the race with a last of two:25.66.

In the 100 freestyle, Cunningham completed first place at 52.37. Valli took fifth with a time of 54.74. Beers adopted at sixth with a time of 56.09.

McBlain swam to victory within the 200-yard backstroke at 2:12.30. Pickel positioned third at 2:15.76. Fletcher wasn’t far behind, putting fourth at 2:16.20.

In the five hundred freestyle, Dittmar took second place with a time of 5:32.56. Martin trailed Dittmar, putting third at a time of 5:32.86.

The 200 breaststroke featured a second-place outing from Valli at 2:30.41. Keefer tailed behind taking third with a time of two:30.97.Kinnee had a time of two:36.21, putting fifth.

In the 400-yard freestyle relay the crew of Linsey, Holmes, Fletcher and Cunningham took second with a time of three:34.12.

The Huskies shall be again in motion for the F&M Invite in Lancaster, Pa. on November 21, 22 and 23 all at 10 a.m.
