Native Photographer Goals to Seize Life’s Genuine Moments | Human Curiosity

Photographer Maddy Abshire, resident of Lafourche Parish and sole proprietor/operator of Maddy Abshire Photography works to offer an setting that yields significant picture classes for each one in every of her shoppers.

Her expertise with images first started in 2017, when in highschool she joined the yearbook committee and commenced to develop a love for the artwork, she stated.  “It was so fun to go to events and capture candid moments of people having fun—moments they could look back on forever,” stated Abshire.

While in faculty, she had the chance to amass extra images expertise by scheduling commencement picture classes for faculty seniors.  “It was so much fun to celebrate such a huge milestone with people!” she stated.

With encouragement from Hannah Gros, her former faculty classmate in administration, whom she later turned buddies with and who shared the identical curiosity within the artwork as she, Abshire started working with Gros on wedding ceremony images.  “Just a month into our friendship, she let me borrow her camera to shoot my first engagement session!  From there, Hannah encouraged me to start shooting weddings with her, so I took a leap and purchased my first professional camera.  Since then, we’ve done over 30 weddings together, and we still have as much fun as our first wedding,” stated Abshire.

Abshire’s basic focus is life-style in addition to wedding ceremony images, of which she has  labored as a second shooter wedding ceremony photographer since 2022.  However, she has taken a step in the direction of working independently as a marriage photographer, stating, “Recently, I have embarked on a new journey; booking weddings for myself—a sentence I never thought I’d say!”  She continued by stating, “Without the guidance of Hannah, my teachers, professors, friends, family, and of course, my wonderful clients, I truly don’t know where I’d be.  I’m so thankful for this career and the incredible journey and experiences photography has brought into my life.”

Abshire shared the next assertion, “My purpose with Maddy Abshire Photography is to create lovely photos and lasting reminiscences for my shoppers—whether or not it’s via a way of life session or a marriage.
