Nationally-ranked Wingate stands second and fourth at Fall Frenzy Friday evening

Charlotte, N.C.—-The Wingate University males’s and girls’s swimming groups earned 21 NCAA B cuts within the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invitational on the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center in downtown Charlotte Friday. Ten colleges are competing on this 12 months’s Fall Frenzy Invitational.
 
The Wingate males are No. 5 and the Bulldog ladies are No. 9 in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) NCAA Division II prime 25 twin meet rankings. The Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invitational options 10 groups on the ladies’s aspect and 9 groups within the males’s discipline.
 
Men’s Fall Frenzy Friday notes
 
– Wingate is second on the crew charts with 545 factors
– Host Queens University of Charlotte is the chief with 630 factors
– The Bulldogs collected two silver medals within the relays with two B cuts
– Times: 200 Freestyle Relay (1:18.99) and 400 Medley Relay (3:11.50)
– Wingate’s 200 Free Relay mark is a brand new faculty customary for the occasion
– Senior crew captain Ney Chagas Filho and freshman Artur Vilela de Queiroz swam each
– Vilela de Queiroz completed third within the 200 Individual Medley (1:47.00, D2B)
 
Women’s Fall Frenzy Friday notes
 
– The Bulldogs are fourth within the crew standings with 351 factors
– UNC Wilmington (522 factors) and Queens (493.5) are second and third, respectively
– Wingate’s D2 buddies from Nova Southeastern are third (490 factors)
– Wingate completed third within the 400 Medley Relay (3:42.65, D2B)
– Junior Vera Karlsson and senior Natalia Dwojak swam the primary two legs
– Freshman Mathilda Sandberg and senior Nina Azirovic completed the race
