(WJW) — Ahead of forecasted excessive winds, rain and snow, the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission has issued a journey ban for the toll highway the Ohio Turnpike.
The ban is for high-profile automobiles — something taller than 7 ft, 6 inches — and is in impact from Wednesday, Nov. 26, 8 a.m. by Thursday, Nov. 27 at 11:59 p.m.
The following varieties of automobiles are banned throughout the restriction:
- All high-profile tow-behind trailers, campers, boats, and enclosed trailers. (Fifth wheel trailers are excluded.)
- Commercial vehicles towing an empty single 53-foot trailer
- All cell houses, workplace trailers and livestock trailers
- All lengthy mixture automobiles (LCV) that embody lengthy double-trailer combos exceeding 90-feet in size. (Enclosed trailers solely, together with Conestoga sort trailers); and
- All LCV triple-trailer combos
- 2-axle buses longer than forty (40) ft
- Buses with 3 or extra axles better than forty-five (45) ft
A Winter Storm Watch is in impact from Thursday morning by Friday night for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake counties.
