Photography Club launches 2026 Calendar

Kilcullen Photography Club’s 2026 Calendar was launched in Woodbine Books final night, writes Brian Byrne. It’s the eighth such publication by the membership, which makes use of the proceeds for membership improvement and donations to native organisations and charities. To date, some €4,000 has been given to deserving causes.

Club chairperson Sabina Reddy instructed these current that the primary purpose for the Calendar is to ‘capture’ Kilcullen, and in that respect, suggestions from the various locations it goes to has been overwhelmingly optimistic. She added that, even within the first 12 months, the Calendar was being despatched to Kilcullen folks, relations, and pals throughout 4 continents.

Noting that this 12 months submissions had been invited from exterior the membership, Sabina mentioned there had been a ‘fantastic’ response. She congratulated Noel Dunne (above), whose photograph seems on the April calendar, and the runners-up: Celia Travers, PJ Lydon, Elisabeth Kehill (all under), Fr Gary Darby and Rachel O’Sullivan.

The 2026 Calendar shall be on sale at subsequent week’s Kilcullen Christmas Market, and can also be obtainable in Woodbine Books, Nolan’s Butchers, the Parish Centre, and from membership members.

Sabina thanked native companies for his or her sponsorship, noting that their generosity made the initiative doable. She additionally thanked Dawn in Woodbine Books for internet hosting the launch and her continued help of the membership.

She concluded by saying the membership all the time welcomes new members, and presents a spread of initiatives, seminars, outings and exhibitions for them to get pleasure from.
