ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — With the change in the calendar from 2025 to 2026 comes a shift in the UNM swimming and diving schedule. After competing once a month in the fall, the Lobos are swimming and diving every weekend.

That all starts this weekend as the team heads one state north to Colorado to take on the University of Denver on Friday at noon, with diving at 2 p.m. and then the swimming events. From there, the Lobos will make the short drive south to take on both Air Force and Colorado State in a tri-meet at USAFA.

While knocking off any of the three will be challenging, this weekend is about returning to the pool and putting together performances the team can build on. After turning in over 30 PRs at the Phill Hansel Invitational, UNM will be looking to get back to solid marks this weekend.

UNM has gotten marks from Ariana Stokes in the sprints, as well as PRs from freshmen like Mollie Gorman, who is from Ft. Collins and will be swimming in her home state as a collegian for the first time, with plenty of family and friends of hers on hand.

UNM has excelled in the diving tank, where Alice English has been putting up Zone-qualifying marks multiple times in meets. Teammates Rithika Colvin and Esme Abaddi-MacIntosh have taken, no pun intended, big leaps from the opening meet through the final December meets in Reno and Davis, and both are on the precipice of more Zone-qualifying marks.

Both meets will be live-streamed, and Lobo fans can watch the proceedings at golobos.com/watchsd. Additionally, follow Lobo Swimming & Diving on Instagram by clicking @UNMLoboSwimDive to get live video, pictures, and updates.
