MEN’S SWIMMING AND DIVING EARN DECISIVE ON SENIOR DAY VICTORY OVER MARIST

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant University Men’s Swimming and Diving Program earned a 156-140 over the Marist Red Foxes on Senior Day on the Chace Athletic Center. The Bulldogs honored seniors Christopher Buonocore, Jack Ossi, Roman San Juan, and Aidan Trenery following competitors.

“What a way to send off our seniors. Getting wins on both the men’s and women’s sides made Senior Day even more special and really showed the hard work and dedication this team puts in every day, especially from our seniors over the past four years. We’re so proud of all of our Bulldogs, and it’s going to be a tough goodbye to this senior group in February”

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Christopher Buonocore and Lincoln Busa received the scoring began for the Black and Gold after going 1-2 within the 1-meter dive. Buonocore completed first tallied a rating of 289.35 whereas Busa positioned second with a rating of 211.85.
• The pair would discover comparable success within the 3 meter with Buonocore as soon as once more taking the highest spot with a rating of 346.20 and Busa ending because the runner up with a rating of 193.65.
• Ryan Connors, Nick Austin, Tim Andrews, and Nick Andrews powered Bryant’s 200 yard medley relay to a second place end with a time of 1:35.78.
• The Bulldogs secured two prime three finishes within the 100 yard freestyle as Raymond Stelmark took dwelling first with a time of 9:49.21 and Patrick Maldonado positioned third with a time of 10:02.40.
• The Black and Gold went 2-3 within the 200 yard free with Valentine Honsberger and Calix Hammett ending in succession.
• Zach Proulx gained the lads’s 100 again with a time of 52.46.
• Aidan Trenery gained the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 59.14.
• Tim Andrews gained the lads’s 200 yard fly with a time of 1:54.00.
• Hammett positioned second within the 50 free with a time of 21.70.
• Arthur Newton and Hammett went 1-2 within the 100 yard free. Newton completed first with a time of 47.73 and Hammett positioned second with a time of 47.79.
• Proulx gained the 200 yard again with a time of 1:53.88.
• Trenery and Jack Ferguson went 2-3 within the 200 yard breaststroke. Trenery posted a time of two:09.36 and Ferguson completed in 2:10.26.
• Stelmark (4:48.04) and Aiden Acuna Rosa (4:51.34)  completed 2-3 within the 500 yard free.
• Andrews gained the 100 yard fly with a time of fifty.58.
• Trenery gained the 200 yard IM with a time of 1:56.55.
• Hammett, Honsberger, Andrews, and Newton powered the Bulldogs to a second place end within the 400 yard free relay with a time of three:10.49.
