GlamBOT Photographer Faces Backlash Over ‘Impolite Emails’ to Bride Who Tried to Book Famed Digicam

The photographer behind the GlamBOT — the high-speed digicam that captures slow-motion movies on award-show crimson carpets — has come beneath fireplace after alleged emails surfaced during which he questioned whether or not a bride might afford to guide the digicam for her marriage ceremony.

Canadian filmmaker and photographer Cole Walliser has grow to be an internet sensation as the person behind E! Entertainment’s GlamBOT digicam on the crimson carpet.

But he’s now’s going through criticism on social media after screenshots of a 2019 email exchange surfaced online. The emails, reviewed by the news outlet PEOPLE, present Walliser corresponding with a possible shopper who inquired about privately reserving the GlamBOT for her marriage ceremony. In the 11-email change shared on-line, bride Yinka Animashaun reached out to Walliser in 2019 to ask whether or not the GlamBOT was accessible for personal occasions.

According to multiple reports online, Animashaun, who’s from Nigeria, and her husband Nitin Sikka, who’s Indian, went on to host an elaborate multicultural marriage ceremony that includes three separate ceremonies in someday. The marriage ceremony passed off on November 23, 2019, on the Westin Stonebriar Hotel & Golf Club in Dallas, Texas.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Animashaun stated she shared the “unprofessional and unkind” e mail change publicly within the hope that Walliser would mirror on how he treats potential shoppers.

“As a Black woman I am no stranger to people making assumptions about who I am or what I am capable of, but I think his responses to me were exceptionally unprofessional and unkind,” she tells the outlet. “I was preparing for one of the best days of my life, and to this day, his response shocks me. That isn’t how you speak to a potential client or people in general. Hopefully my sharing this can be a learning experience for him and enable him [to] be better or at least a bit more kind.”

The resurfacing of the e-mail change comes shortly after Walliser publicly denied claims that Jennifer Lopez was impolite to him during her GlamBOT shoot at the Golden Globes. Walliser posted a video to Instagram addressing viral accusations in regards to the interplay and defending Lopez’s behaviour on the crimson carpet.
