A fluffy Tufted duckling rests on its mom’s again on a summer season’s day in Bushy Park within the leafy suburbs of south Dublin.

Mum sits with pleasure as she floats alongside the pond within the park, as passersby cease to take pictures of the lovable duo.

This picture “Tufty Duck” was captured on a Canon R7 with a zoom lens by Carol McCabe from close by Rathfarnham who picked up her digital camera for the primary time three years in the past and started taking pictures of wildlife.

“I spend a lot of time at the Dodder River down the road,” she said. “I work as a sacramental co-ordinator in the parish, and I love taking photos in my spare time” she mentioned.

This specific picture was taken in June 2025 after her fellow photographers spoke concerning the Tufty geese in Bushy Park.

“I went there and saw a lot of baby ducks jumping up and down on mammy’s backs” she mentioned.
