FREE Programs at Swimming Beaches

The Lifeguard Training Team is a FREE summer time program designed to coach and certify Seattle’s youth in lifesaving abilities. The eight week program for youth ages 15-18 will practice members to be lifeguards and construct different vital job abilities. Seattle Parks and Recreation supplies coaching, books, uniforms, and fundamental supplies at no cost. The Lifeguard Training Team features a full American Red Cross lifeguard coaching course, and rather more! Participants get the chance to check for certification on the finish of this system.

Participant Swimming Skills Pre-Test

Each participant should attend a swimming abilities pre-tests earlier than the primary class. The pre-test is a prerequisite for the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course. It can also be your likelihood to fulfill the instructors and ask questions on this system. Please carry a swimsuit and towel and be ready to swim. Pre-tests will happen at indoor swimming pools in June, and take about 1 hour. Specific date and site choices shall be supplied when functions are accepted.
