Photography Internship – Portland Timbers

Position Summary

Hours/Schedule: This is a variable hour place. Average hours shall be 25-30 hours per week. Working some evenings and weekends/holidays shall be required (on account of match day/occasion obligations). Expected length is thru the MLS season or so long as there’s a enterprise want. 

Responsibilities

• Assist in photographing Timbers house matches, coaching classes, group occasions, second group and academy house matches and different membership initiatives.
• Edit and manage pictures for social media, advertising, and inside use underneath tight deadlines.
• Maintain and archive pictures following group requirements and workflows.
• Support in-studio and on-location shoots for participant portraits, sponsorship activations, and model campaigns.
• Coordinate with the artistic group to make sure visible consistency throughout all platforms.
• Assist in managing images tools and making ready for shoots.
• Stay present on images developments and finest practices in sports activities media.

Qualifications

• Working in direction of or lately accomplished a level in images, visible arts, journalism, or a associated area.
• Strong portfolio showcasing sports activities, motion, or occasion images.
• Proficiency in Capture One, Photoshop, and fundamental photograph modifying workflows.
• Experience taking pictures with skilled digital camera tools (Canon, and so forth.).
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and non-traditional hours as required by the Timbers’ schedule.
• Strong organizational abilities and a spotlight to element.
• Knowledge of Major League Soccer (MLS) and an understanding of the Timbers’ model is a plus.
• Spanish Speaking is a plus.
