It’s one thing that many Porsche followers have contemplated sooner or later – what’s the right two-car Porsche storage? It turned, she says, a inventive outlet for her to comply with her ardour for style and to inform tales. “People began to follow me, firstly, because of my personal style,” she says. “That’s how it all started. I think people relate to my style because it’s attainable. It’s not about wearing designer clothes head-to-toe. I love to mix high and low.The perfect Porsche two-car combo? Influencer Julie Sariñana – aka Sincerely Jules – strolls past her family’s Porsche Cayenne coupé and classic 911 Targa Photo: Porsche“I was born in Mexico, raised in LA,” she provides. “I come from a very creative family of two older sisters and one older brother, and my parents. We’re very tight knit. To me family is everything. I post a lot of family stuff, and when I meet people on the street who recognise me they say how it reminds them of their own family. It really has been a beautiful journey.”And it’s a journey that’s been enhanced by the 2 Porsche vehicles that Julie and Kevin personal – vehicles that, as we are going to discover out, have been become stars in their very own proper by her many followers. You and your husband personal two Porsche vehicles – a basic 911 Targa and a Cayenne (E3). Tell us about them, Julie? “We have a 2020 Cayenne coupé and a 1986 911 Targa. My husband drives the 911 Targa, but I’ve spent so much time in it. Honestly, every time you get in, it just feels different. It feels special, unique, because they don’t make them like that anymore.“I can only speak as a passenger, but when I’m sitting there I’m really taking in the moment, making every moment count. It’s so different to a regular, modern-day car. You feel every turn, the sound of the door closing and the smell of the leather in the interior. The noise of the engine is so loud and in your face, but in the coolest way. Now that we have a child, I don’t get to get taken out for a drive in it as much. But we would go out in it on date nights down to our favourite spots. Driving in it is so beautiful. It’s truly like nothing else. It has so much soul.Julie with her husband, photographer Kevin Berruer, and young son, embark on regular roadtrips throughout California and into neighbouring Nevada Photo: Porsche“As for the Cayenne, it just fits so well with the lifestyle we have. We tend to go on a lot of roadtrips throughout the year, and it’s the perfect car for that. It’s comfortable, it’s sporty, it’s sexy, it’s cool. Having a toddler, it’s perfect for the three of us. It’s our everyday hero, because it just takes us from point A to point B to point C, so comfortably.“We feel stylish and cool and can bring all the things we need in the trunk, like the stroller, which makes our life super easy. With the Cayenne, we pimped it out. It’s all black with black rims, tinted windows. Every time I drive that car, I feel like I’m a little badass. The seats hug you. It’s our second Cayenne – the first was the SUV, this is a coupé. In LA, there can be times when you are stuck on the freeway, but you don’t mind it as it’s such a good place to be. I love how the driver display wraps around you, keeping you informed and entertained.”When did your love for Porsche start?“I remember it exactly. When I was in high school, I used to take the school bus. It was a 35- to 40-minute drive, so I had a lot of time to just look out the window, take a nap or finish homework. One morning the traffic was backed up, and I remember looking out and seeing this all-black 911 Carrera, with a girl driving it. I was captivated. She looked so cool in this beautiful car.“That image was so vivid it remained with me – that hopefully, one day, it could be me. And here we are now with two Porsche cars. It’s gone full circle from that little girl, on a school bus, daydreaming.”Julie and Kevin’s basic 911 Targa will get loads of love and a spotlight on the street… and amongst her seven million-plus-strong Instagram followers Photo: PorscheThe vehicles have turn into stars of your IG channel, particularly the 911 Targa. Why do you assume they make such a reference to individuals?“I think some of it is the aspirational aspect – to see yourself owning one as well, one day. I think everyone aspires to beautiful things, if you work hard at it. I like to think that the way my husband and I create beautiful imagery [Julie’s husband, Kevin, shoots the visuals for her channel] that’s inspiring.“I think about that day in the school bus, looking at that girl driving her all-black 911 Targa and how it inspired me. I hope my content is both inspirational and aspirational. People appreciate beautiful design and beautiful objects. And the 911 Targa resonates with people. They love the car and you can see that in the comments that I get. It’s always the star because I literally don’t have to do anything. I just stand there and the pictures are amazing because the car makes them amazing. And it does that so effortlessly.”Describe your good day together with your vehicles. Where would you go to?“The perfect day for me in the 911 Targa would be to head up the Pacific Coast Highway, stopping in Malibu for some lunch at Malibu Farm. I love their Cajun shrimp tacos, finished off with Swedish pancakes for dessert. Then we’d drive to Point Dume in Malibu to take in the views there. One day, hopes Julie, their young son will get to drive the 911 Targa – a car he always gets excited about when his dad takes it out for a drive. For now, he gets to be chauffeured around in their Cayenne coupé Photo: Porsche“We love the beach here because it’s so serene. Compared to other beaches, it feels like there’s no one else but you and the ocean. We might head to Santa Monica or for some shopping in Venice Beach because they have great shops. I love stopping by D.S. & Durga to buy a new perfume. Or we might visit the Getty Villa as we both love art and it constantly inspires us.“I also love little morning trips locally in the Cayenne. Our favourite local breakfast place is Bub & Grandma’s. It’s this really cute, retro-looking diner with a modern take. It mainly serves breakfast sandwiches, but they also do these absolutely delicious donuts. They’re super airy and fluffy, the best of us you’ll ever have. My son loves them, so we get one each and head to the park to play with him for an hour or two. There’s a bookstore nearby, so we’ll grab a couple of new books to read to him at night.“Then we’ll shop a little bit more, maybe grab some yogurt ice cream and, typically, our son will take a nap on the drive home. It’s great to be able to enjoy some family time and a nice driving experience in the Cayenne.”What does your son take into consideration your vehicles?“It’s the 911 Targa that really excites him, of course. When he knows my husband is going to take that car out, we bring him outside, because he loves to hear the engine. When my husband starts the car on the driveway, he loves it. The sound is so powerful that our son starts giggling. It’s the cutest thing. We know that one day, when he’s old enough, it will be him taking that car out. The twisty, hilly roads around their home in northern Los Angeles are peaceful, rural and made for relaxing drives Photo: Porsche“My husband started racing karts when he was seven. Racing was in his family when he was growing up. Cars are everything. And now our son adores cars. When we’re out on the street – I kid you not – Porsche is the only car he always recognises when he sees or hears one. My father-in-law jokes that when he turns seven, we’re going to put our son in a go-kart and he’s going to be a racer. I’m like, no! I’m such a mom.”Your husband is European. What are your favorite roadtrips if you’re over there?“We typically go to France for about three months every summer and stay with our in- laws. Through a friend of my brother-in-law’s, we always have a car to drive while we’re over there and go on loads of little roadtrips within France. We’ll head to the French Alps, to the south of France, down to Marseille and Provence, passing through all these little villages. It really feels like something out of a book – so very different compared to here. It really gives you a taste of experiencing what it’s like to live in France.”Their Porsche storage at present stands at two vehicles – however Julie hasn’t dominated out including to it someday Photo: PorscheEver thought of increasing your Porsche storage? If so, with what?“It’s not even a question! We’d love to expand our Porsche collection one day. For me, I think it would be a new 911 Targa or 911 Carrera. It would be in red, with tan interior, as I’d like to get out of my comfort zone as I tend to go either all black or silver. But my husband? His would be a 911 GT3 RS, his absolute dream car. He talks about that car all the time!”
