Cabin Fever 2025 Installations / Hello Wood

Cabin Fever is a world summer time faculty and competition launched by the Hungarian structure studio Hello Wood, recognized for its design-build strategy and community-focused, sustainable initiatives. Since its founding in 2010, Hello Wood has develop into a world platform merging hands-on schooling with socially engaged structure. The 2025 version, powered by VELUX, explored how mild and house form human expertise — putting presence, intimacy, and connection on the centre of structure. This dialogue with VELUX displays a shared conviction: that the way forward for constructing lies in accountability — in creating areas with care, with consciousness, and with mild — providing significant alternate options in an overstimulated world. 2025 Concept, Location, Participants. From 23–31 July 2025, the competition befell in Česká Kamenice, Czech Republic, on the grounds of a former textile manufacturing unit and wartime labour camp — a spot that embodies each the burden of reminiscence and the potential for transformation. Under the theme “Quality Time – Connection to Each Other”, members had been invited to discover how design can strengthen {our relationships} with one another and with the locations we inhabit.
