Three native artists featured in up to date pictures exhibit

“Between Worlds,” a recent pictures exhibit that includes Cleveland-based artists June Hund, Laura D’Alessandro, and c. a. lengthy, opened final Monday, Feb. 2 on the Cuyahoga County Public Library, Chagrin Falls Branch.

An artist reception on Sunday, Feb. 15, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. is open to the general public, and the exhibit continues by Saturday, March 21.

All three artists are deeply rooted in Northeast Ohio’s inventive group and actively have interaction in inventive collaboration, together with participation within the Rust Belt Photo Collective, a regional group devoted to supporting and exhibiting native pictures.

“The arts scene in Cleveland is lively,” Hund says. “The Cleveland area is rich with culture, art venues, and incredible environmental landscapes.”

Hund, who’s an illustrator, photographer, and humanities educator, has spent years working and volunteering within the Northeast Ohio arts group. Her work, which is commonly targeted on post-industrial particulars and missed city landscapes, employs mixed-media photographic methods and has been featured in each solo and group exhibitions.
