PLYMOUTH – Steven H. Temperino, 63, of Plymouth, NH, handed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026. He was born on November 10, 1962, in Huntington, New York, the son of Peter L. Temperino and Linda A. (Hughes) Temperino and grew up in Nashua, NH.

Steven lived a purposeful lifetime of service to his nation, state, and group, starting as a lifeguard at Hampton Beach by his time as Police Chief. Steven earned his Bachelor of Arts from Plymouth State College (1991) and a Master of Public Administration from the University of New Hampshire (2005). He was a graduate of the 81st NH Police Academy in addition to the FBI National Academy’s 194th Session. He labored for the Plymouth Police Department from 1987 by 2012, rising to the rank of Chief of Police earlier than serving because the Assistant Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Management for the State of New Hampshire. He retired from the State to grow to be the Chief of Police for Public Safety and Emergency Management for Plymouth State University till 2023. He additionally leaves his beloved canine Holly, and cherished cats Hazel and Harper. He was predeceased by his father, Peter L. Temperino.
