Hazleton Area women seize WVC swimming title – Wilkes-Barre Residents’ Voice

Hazleton Area wrapped up the Wyoming Valley Conference women swimming championship Friday.

Lia Ochs and Lorelei Lucas every picked up 4 wins on the afternoon because the Lady Cougars swam previous Wilkes-Barre Area, 118-51, to lock up the title.

Hazleton Area completed undefeated within the convention.

Ochs received the 50 free and 100 again along with two relay victories. Lucas was additionally on two profitable relays, and touched the wall in first within the 200 free and 100 breast.

Nicole Castillo had the Wolfpack’s lone victory within the 100 fly.

Boys wrestling

At Bryn Athyn, Wyoming Seminary despatched 11 wrestlers into the semifinal spherical of the Pennsylvania State Prep Wrestling Tournament on Friday on the Academy of the New Church.
