Jaden Pospishil and Sydney Bales Named to 2026 SEC Community Service Teams

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Southeastern Conference introduced the 2026 Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Community Service Teams Monday morning. Senior Sydney Bales and junior Jaden Pospishil have been acknowledged for his or her service to the Columbia neighborhood.

The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 22 league sponsored sports activities. The Community Service Team appears to spotlight an athlete from every faculty who provides again to their neighborhood in superior service efforts.

Over the course of the 12 months, Pospishil has labored with the Special Olympics, the place he helped arrange occasions and assisted the athletes of their respective sports activities of basketball, bowling, golf, flag soccer, softball, and tailored basketball. He additionally helped with Swim Across America, a company that hosts charity swims throughout the nation that helps fund most cancers analysis and affected person applications. Pospishil has labored together with plenty of his teammates through the Adopt-a-family drive round Christmas time. He was named to the 2024-25 Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Bales has labored with the Special Olympics in Columbia as she helped coordinate and run observe for a number of sports activities together with swimming, basketball, bowling, softball, and soccer. She additionally labored at Columbia colleges as a recess/lunch mentor. Bales helped with the college district’s Halloween festivities. She was twice named to the Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll and the 2022-23 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll.
