Women’s Swimming Concludes 2025-26 Season at Little East Championship

Wellesley, Mass.–Sophomore Meghan McCann (Pawtucket, R.I.) completed twelfth within the 200-yard freestyle (2:52.09) as Rhode Island College wrapped up competitors on the 2026 Little East Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship, held on the Boston Sports Institute on Sunday.
 
THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College wrapped up the third and remaining day of competitors in 11^th place (11 groups) with a crew rating of 94.5. Eastern Connecticut took house the LEC title with a crew rating of 839.5.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Senior Morgan McCann (Pawtucket, R.I.) completed thirteenth within the 200-yard breaststroke (2:52.43).
 
• Freshman Victoria Badger (Cranston, R.I.) completed fifteenth within the 50-yard backstroke (34.76).
 
• Sophomore Taryn Reed (Pascoag, R.I.) completed seventeenth within the 1,650-yard freestyle (22:53.50).
 
• Freshman Katelyn Rogers (Woonsocket, R.I.) completed seventeenth within the 200-yard butterfly (3:04.50).
 
• Freshman Lydia Paul (Lincoln, R.I.) completed 18th within the 100-yard IM (1:32.88).
 
• Junior Joanmarie Joly (Pawtucket, R.I.) completed nineteenth within the 200-yard butterfly (3:24.52).
 
• Junior Elizabeth Shepard (Smithfield, R.I.) completed twentieth within the 200-yard butterfly (3:31.62).
 
• Senior Olivia Landry (Lincoln, R.I.) completed twenty first within the 200-yard butterfly (3:46.12).
 
• Junior Mabel Huynh (North Providence, R.I.) completed twenty first within the 200-yard breaststroke (3:15.46).
 
• Junior Kate Clayman (Smithfield, R.I.) completed twenty third within the 200-yard breaststroke (3:19.08).
 
• Freshman Alana Sousa (Berkeley, Mass.) completed twenty fifth within the 100-yard freestyle preliminaries (1:07.00).
 
• Junior Abigail Steinhilber (Warwick, R.I.) completed thirty second within the 100-yard freestyle preliminaries (1:12.16).
 
• Freshman Madison Ventura (Warwick, R.I.) completed thirty third within the 100-yard freestyle (1:14.04).
