KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – No. 1 Men’s Swimming and Diving opened the SEC Championships with a podium end within the males’s 1-meter dive as Nick Harris earned silver with a finals rating of 400.70 on Monday night on the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. 

Harris superior to the championship closing after totaling 344.95 in prelims, highlighted by a 64.00 on his ahead 2 1/2 somersault 1 twist pike and a 60.45 on his inward 2 1/2 somersault tuck.

In the finals, Harris elevated his efficiency throughout the board, posting a round-best 75.00 on his reverse 2 1/2 somersault tuck (305C). He added a 71.30 on his inward 2 1/2 somersault tuck (405C), together with scores of 66.00, 63.00, 63.00 and 62.40 throughout his remaining dives to safe second general. 

Jacob Jones positioned third within the comfort closing with a complete of 328.55. His efforts have been highlighted by a 60.00 on his reverse 2 1/2 somersault tuck and a 55.50 on his again 2 1/2 somersault tuck through the afternoon session.

The SEC Championships proceed Tuesday with the women and men 1650 freestyle prelims beginning at 10:30 a.m. CT, the ladies’s 1-meter prelims beginning at 11:00 a.m. CT adopted by the comfort finals (1-meter) beginning at 1:25 p.m. CT and the 200 Mixed Medley Relay, 800 Freestyle Relay, Women’s 1-meter finals set to start at 4:00 p.m. CT on the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.

The SEC Championships proceed Tuesday with the boys’s and ladies’s 1650 freestyle prelims starting at 10:30 a.m. CT and the ladies’s 1-meter prelims at 11 a.m. CT. The girls’s 1-meter comfort closing is ready for 1:25 p.m. CT. Finals start at 4 p.m. CT with the 200-yard combined medley relay, 800-yard freestyle relay and ladies’s 1-meter closing on the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
