FaithX journey takes older adults to Florida for service tasks and loads of enjoyable as effectively – Information

The older grownup FaithX journey befell Feb. 22-27 at Camp Ithiel in Gotha, Fla. There was a complete of 14 members alongside Marissa Witkovsky-Eldred and Aly Heckeroth of the FaithX and Brethren Volunteer Service workers, who acted as leaders.

While at Camp Ithiel, members labored on various tasks together with repainting the eating corridor, sanding the chapel door, changing the ground of the barn, and beginning the prep work for changing the again wall of the Pathfinder Cabin. A big effort additionally was put towards cleansing the kitchen.

While many tasks bought achieved over three days of volunteering, members had loads of enjoyable as effectively. During free time, the group was capable of canoe on the camp’s lake, go to the close by Nehrling Gardens, and put collectively puzzles. For the recreation day on the finish of the week, members traveled to Flat Island Preserve and Silver Spring State Park the place they took a glass bottomed boat tour.
