RIO GRANDE VALLEY – Sophomore Manou Meulebeek is worked up to make her return to the NCAA Zone “D” Diving Championships, which is hosted by Texas A&M, on the Student Recreation Center in College Station, Texas.
Meulebeek will compete on Monday and Tuesday as she reached the qualifying marks for the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard earlier this season. Meulebeek has reached the Zone “D” Diving Championships in back-to-back seasons.
The meet will begin Monday at 12 p.m. as Meulebeek will compete towards 62 different divers within the 1-meter springboard preliminary spherical. The finals will start instantly after the preliminary spherical. The prime 11 finishers from the 1-meter springboard will qualify for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
On Tuesday, Meulebeek will compete alongside 54 of the most effective divers in Zone D within the 3-meter springboard preliminary spherical. Similarly, the finals will start instantly after the preliminary spherical. The prime 10 finishers from the 3-meter springboard will qualify for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
In her most up-to-date competitors, Meulebeek earned a fifth-place end within the 1-meter springboard, with a rating of 269.95, and a seventh-place end within the 3-meter springboard, with a rating of 255.85, on the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Swimming & Diving Championships.
