10 Keydets invited to compete in CSCAA National Invitational Championship

LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Men’s Swimming & Diving can have 10 Keydets swim within the 2026 CSCAA National Invitational Championship on March 12-14 on the FAST Facility in Ocala, Florida.
 
The Keydets shall be extremely represented on this 12 months’s CSCAA nationwide meet, with freshman Ian Lutz competing within the 50 & 100 Free and 100 Fly. Lutz’s 100 Fly mark (47.71) earned him bronze within the America East Championship and set new Rat and workforce data.
 
The dynamic junior duo of Sam Castle and Matthew Picard certified for 3 occasions apiece. Castle, who will compete within the 50, 100, & 200 Back, and Picard, who will compete within the 50 & 100 Free and 100 Fly, tallied 4 medals apiece in the course of the America East Championships.
 
Jack Mills and Layne Tucker may also compete in three occasions. Mills certified for the 200 IM, 200 Fly, and 200 Free, whereas Tucker set qualifying marks within the 50, 100, & 200 Breast. Mills had a top-10 end in all three occasions, whereas Tucker was high 10 within the 100 & 200 Breast on the convention championship meet.
 
Austin Reeder, who was high 10 within the 100 Breast on the league championships, certified for the nationwide invite for his marks within the 50 & 100 Breast. Joining and qualifying in a single occasion are Kayleb Eldridge (200 Fly), Aubrey Struder (1650 Free), Caleb Wolf (800 Free Relay), and Will Loftin (400 Medley Relay).
