TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Today, Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia introduced the arrest of former Florida lawyer, Marc Evan Brown, and proprietor of MEB Title Company, after allegedly misappropriating his shopper’s funds. To fund his lavish way of life. The arrest was made by the Department of Financial Services Criminal Investigations Division (CID). 

Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia mentioned, “Criminals who try to steal from hard-working Floridians will face serious repercussions for their actions. Thanks to the hard work of my investigators, the only designer outfit Mr. Brown will be wearing in the near future is a Florida Department of Corrections jumpsuit, specially made in his shade of orange. My investigators will continue to protect Floridians from criminals who believe they are above the law and use their position for their own personal gain.” 

CID detectives uncovered a scientific sample of theft spanning over a number of years and a number of purchasers that suffered vital monetary losses. In complete, Brown misappropriated $228,878.64 in shopper funds to assist his lavish way of life for holidays, sport tickets, and high-end purchasing. This was completed via unauthorized withdrawals from the shopper’s trusts and wire transfers of the shopper’s escrow funds to his private checking account. 

Marc Evan Brown was arrested on February 28, 2026, and has been charged with grand theft, cash laundering, misappropriation of funds, and exploitation of an aged individual.  

Prosecution of this case falls beneath the Broward County State Attorney’s Office.
