Steve Harris is 70 immediately, that’s unusual for me. I imply once I first met Iron Maiden in a pub off Leicester Square in September 1979 they had been only a new band I used to be despatched out to {photograph} for SOUNDS, the newspaper I freelanced as a photographer for. I by no means thought I’d go on to tour with them round many of the world and shoot many of the Maiden album covers, my favorite being LIVE AFTER DEATH which was actually photographed everywhere in the world.
So I assumed I’d publish some early Maiden 1979-84, see which of them any of you who’re sufficiently old bear in mind.
And as Joe Elliott from Def Leppard identified to me, I’ve identified Def Leppard longer as I met them in June 1979.
