RADNOR TOWNSHIP — Some of the best eating places on the Main Line crammed the Grand Atrium of Radnor Financial Center on Thursday night for the Emergency Aid of Pennsylvania’s annual Taste of the Main Line, celebrating the nonprofit’s 112th anniversary.

“I honestly lost count of how many years that we participated in this event,” Margaret stated. “I know it has been well over 10 years. Alice (the event chair) is always so nice and personable, and 100% of the proceeds go directly to a worthwhile charity.”

A musical combo carried out within the pop-up ToML Craft Beer Garden offered by La Cabra and Conshohocken breweries.

Woodford Reserve hosted the Mixologists’ Cocktail Competition primarily based on a vote by attendees. First place went to At The Table for its “Upside-Down and Outlawed” drink; second place went to Fearless Restaurants, house owners of Autograph Brasserie, Rosalie, Triple Crown and White Dog Café, for “Spring Fling”; and third place was awarded to La Cabra for “Peach Tea Smash.”

“This is my first time here and the event surpassed all of my expectations,” Annie Hill of Berwyn stated. “I am totally impressed — the event and the cause that it supports couldn’t be any better!”

“This is my second time coming,” Alan Mowatt, of Malvern, chimed in, as he gave a thumbs as much as Fearless Restaurants’ Spring Fling Cocktail. “I always loved going to food and drink festivals so I naturally enjoy this event. I like being able to try some restaurants that I haven’t been to yet.”

Dan and Kitty Hirst of Wallingford had been equally impressed.

“This is such a nice event,” Kitty stated. “There are so many choices. We really enjoyed Margaret Kuo’s Peking Duck. But of course, we love Departure in Media, because our son owns it and their food is really good!”
