KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Western Michigan ladies’s tennis crew dropped its Mid-American Conference opener to Miami, 4-3, at West Hills Athletic Club on Sunday afternoon. 

The Broncos (9-5, 0-1 MAC) took the early benefit because of the doubles level. Marielou Baudouin and Friday Weijerman picked up the primary win, a 6-3 choice at No. 3 over Lovisa Valentinsson and Evelyn Risner.
