Swimming & Diving: Hoos win pair of relays to open NCAA Championships

Virginia received two relays on the opening evening of the 2026 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, being held Wednesday via Saturday on the McCauley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.

The Cavaliers received two of the three occasions on the primary day of competitors.

Sophomore Katie Grimes took bronze within the opening occasion of the meet, the 1650 Free (15:42.65).

Sara Curtis, Emma Weber, Claire Curzan and Bryn Greenwaldt adopted with the gold within the 200 Medley Relay (1:31.67). Aimee Canny, Madi Mintenko, Bailey Hartman and Anna Moesch received the 800 Free Relay (6:45.21) to shut out the evening.
