Fun ‘Fashion Shoot’ Makes Residents in a Senior Home Really feel 20 Years Youthful

Senior residence residents have been left feeling 20 years youthful after posing for a photoshoot sporting high-fashion wigs and colourful clothes.

Residents at Maplewood Court, an hour exterior London, have been handled to the glam-up session due to the ability’s ‘Lifestyle Team’ who have been impressed by a video on social media.

Providing an outrageous wardrobe of flower-studded wigs, sun shades, hats and big pearls, the picture shoot had the 72 residents abuzz with pleasure.

The enjoyable afternoon was the brainchild of workers Laura Taylor and Jo Morgan who saved it a secret, solely leaking bits of pleasure. “There was such a buzz in the home.”

“We loved the idea of giving our residents the chance not just to dress up but to go over the top and feel fabulous,” Ms. Taylor advised SWNS information company.

Centenarian Hilda Howes mentioned it offered a brand new lease of life.

“I loved it, they made me look 80, instead of 100! It was so much fun to dress up in all the bright clothes.”

The pair sourced the wigs on-line, whereas different workers contributed jewellery, scarves, and sun shades.

Deb Eve, a care assistant on the Maplewood residence in Maidstone, did the women’ make-up whereas Morgan took the images with the assistance of her daughter.

“We were thrilled that everyone was so keen to get dressed up,” Morgan mentioned.

“The whole thing lifted everyone’s mood; it was wonderful to see.”

The group will now print the pictures for residents to show of their rooms, and a photograph exhibition for the foyer can be within the works.

One 92-year-old resident, Violet Syers, gushed, “I’ll be able to look at it every day and see how fabulous I looked.”
