Annual vacation card contest name for artists, photographers

In celebration of its ninetieth anniversary, Pine Tree Society is formally inviting artists and, for the primary time within the contest’s history-  photographers – to submit Maine-themed art work for its 2026 vacation card fundraiser. 

Since 1969, Pine Tree Society vacation playing cards have grow to be an annual Maine custom. Each 12 months, 1000’s of supporters buy these distinctive playing cards that includes authentic works by native expertise. As one of many group’s most significant fundraisers, all proceeds immediately assist applications that assist Maine youngsters and adults with disabilities lead energetic, socially linked lives. 

“Our 90th anniversary is the perfect milestone to introduce photography to this long-standing tradition,” stated Adria King, Chief Development Officer. “We are excited to see how artists and photographers capture the spirit of Maine to help us celebrate nearly a century of service.” 

Pine Tree Society will choose 4 profitable entries to be featured on the 2026 vacation card assortment. Here are the classes:

Category 1: Painting – Coastal Maine vacation theme (e.g., lighthouses, coastal scenes).

Category 2: Painting – General Maine vacation theme (e.g., winter landscapes, out of doors scenes).

Category 3: Client Art – Holiday-themed portray or pictures by a Pine Tree Camp camper or Pine Tree Society shopper.

NEW Category 4: Photography – Maine vacation theme (open to each novice {and professional} photographers).
