Wisconsin kicks off first day of NCAA Championships

ATLANTA — The Wisconsin males’s swim staff wrapped up the primary day of competitors on the NCAA Championships in Atlanta, highlighted by an All-American honor within the 800 freestyle relay. 

Wisconsin opened competitors with a displaying within the 200 medley relay within the morning’s preliminary session. The relay crew of Nathan Welker, Ben Wiegand, Charlie Jones and Cooper Scharff lined the gap in 1:24.19, with three of the 4 setting lifetime greatest splits. 

To shut out the night time, the Badgers got here out of the gates within the 800 freestyle relay to set a brand new faculty report by simply over a tenth of a second.
