ACC Pronounces Softball Players of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – In the eighth set of weekly honors for the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Softball season, Virginia Tech’s Jordan Lynch was named the ACC Player of the Week, whereas teammate Emma Mazzarone was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week. NC State’s Morgan Talley was named the ACC Freshman of the Week.

Jordan Lynch, Virginia Tech, IF, So. (Rising Sun, Maryland)

• Hit .583, going 7-for-12 on the weekend, together with three residence runs.
• Led the Seminoles with a ten RBIs within the Hokies’ sweep at Boston College. 
• Tied her profession excessive 5 RBIs, twice, in Games 1 and three in opposition to the Eagles.
• Recorded two or extra hits in all three video games.

ACC Pitcher of the Week

Emma Mazzarone, Virginia Tech, UTL, Jr. (Pleasant Garden, North Carolina)

• In her two appearances, she posted a 0.00 ERA over 7.0 innings pitched.
• Finished the week with 13 strikeouts, holding Boston College to a .083 batting common.
• Threw a complete-game two-hit shutout within the first recreation of the sequence in opposition to Boston College.

ACC Freshman of the Week

Morgen Talley, NC State, UTL, Fr. (Palm Harbor, Florida)

• Went 5-for-10 (.500) on the weekend with 5 RBI and two residence runs.
• Recorded 11 strikeouts in 13.0 innings pitched, tying a career-high with eight strikeouts in recreation one in opposition to Syracuse.
