SCSU Women’s Swimming and Diving Locations 4 on 2026 CSC Academic All-District Staff

Southern Connecticut State University girls’s swimming and diving standouts Molly Kennedy, Paola Castillo, Sierra DuCharme and Ally Quitos have been named to the 2026 Academic All-District Women’s Swimming and Diving Teams, chosen by College Sports Communicators. To qualify for the award, athletes should be no less than a sophomore athletically or academically with a GPA of three.5 or larger. In the pool, athletes should compete in no less than 75% of group meets, end within the prime eight at their convention meet or take part within the nationwide championships. 

Kennedy was named the 2026 NE10 Championships Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet and Northeast 10 convention swimmer of the 12 months after profitable six out of the seven occasions she participated in. She received the 50 Freestyle (23.45), 100 Freestyle (50.52), 200 Freestyle (1:51.22), 400 Medley Relay (3:52.17), 800 Yard Freestyle Relay (7:39.40) and the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (3:30.40). Kennedy secured a silver medal within the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (1:36.44). In addition to the NE10 championships, Kennedy was chosen to compete on the DII NCAA National Championships within the 50, 100 and 200 yard freestyle. Kennedy positioned within the prime 30 within the nation within the 100 yard freestyle (51.15). In her three years at Southern Connecticut, Kennedy has received 20 out of the 21 occasions she has swam in at NE10 Championships. Along with being named to the CSC tutorial all-district group, Kennedy was chosen to the NE10 tutorial all convention group for the second time in her profession this season. 

In her last season as an Owl, Castillo secured three silver medals on the 2026 Northeast 10 convention championships. Castillo medaled within the 1,000 Yard freestyle (10:37.97), the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay (7:39.40) and the 1650 yard freestyle (17:41.55). For her profession, Castillo medaled 13 instances totaling 4 occasion championships, seven silver medals and two bronze medals. Castillo will graduate in May with a level in psychology. 

Quitos, a junior and communication problems main, medaled in two occasions on the 2026 Northeast-10 Conference Championships. She received the 400-yard medley relay with a time of three:52.17 and secured a bronze medal within the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:07.16. So far in Quitos’ profession, she has medaled 9 instances.

DuCharme, a sophomore majoring in bodily remedy, medaled within the Northeast 10 Conference Championships. DuCharme earned a bronze medal within the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:41.47. Along with the CSC choice, DuCharme was named to the NE10 tutorial all-conference group for the primary time in her profession.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women’s Swimming and Diving Teams, chosen by College Sports Communicators, acknowledges the nation’s prime student-athletes for his or her mixed performances on the sphere and within the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program individually acknowledges honorees in 4 divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
