Beachgoers save swimmers caught in Perdido Key rip present; Residents name for lifeguards

PERDIDO KEY, Fla. — Two individuals on Perdido Key acquired caught in a rip present within the Gulf Thursday afternoon whereas swimming.

A spokesperson for Escambia County says it occurred close to the Sandy Key condominiums round 2 p.m.

The incident occurred though crimson flags had been posted.

For Snyder, that is an issue.

“I knew one thing on Pensacola Beach. They have patrols going up and down all the time,” he mentioned. “Here at Perdido Beach, they don’t. I don’t see patrols. So maybe just a patrol every hour or so, telling people get out of the water. I mean, on Pensacola Beach, they have microphones. They start screaming at people — ‘You’re in too deep, you’re in too deep.’ Not here though.”

The lack of lifeguards makes Hartman — a longtime Perdido Key house owner — really feel like he must take motion.
