Hexed Holler Collective provides a pictures studio and a spot to construct neighborhood – WHIZ

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A brand new rentable artwork studio and occasion area has opened up in downtown Zanesville. Hexed Holler Collective held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce on Thursday.

The artistic area was based by a former firefighter and EMT named Sara Becker, who needed to open a workspace and neighborhood for native artists.

“I just feel like we’re in a world where people need connection and need creativity and need I was like ‘nows the time, better late than never and do it now.’ No better time than the present so I’ve always been creative and I was like ‘I need an outlet I need a people, I need to just get the ball rolling,’” Becker stated. “I moved out here two and a half years ago and I haven’t quite made the community I want yet so I was like ‘alright, let’s build it then.”

The studio is out there to lease by the hour with memberships on provide for many who plan to routinely use the area. Becker is planning to host occasions like Coven Nights on the finish of every month. She additionally intends to supply CPR, BLS, and First Aid courses due to her earlier profession expertise.

“I am looking forward to just having a community and being a space that people want to be at and want to be involved in and grow in,” Becker stated. “More to come, I’m going to keep adding and building and it’s going to just keep getting better and bigger.”
