Hokies cruise to victory over Bears, 10-5

BERKELEY, CALIF. – Virginia Tech lacrosse was victorious over the Cal Golden Bears, 10-5, Saturday afternoon. The win brings the crew to 9-7 total and 3-6 in ACC play. 

The Hokies’ offense bought off to a sluggish begin, with Sarah Murrell scoring the crew’s lone purpose of the primary quarter. 

Going into the second body of play, Murrell netted her second purpose, adopted by Lauren Render and Maggie Flanagan scoring their first targets of the afternoon. The Hokies led 4-3 at halftime.

Momentum picked up for Tech within the second half because the squad shut the Bears out within the third quarter, permitting them to attain 5 targets unanswered within the body. Render pushed via contact to tally the Hokies’ remaining purpose of the sport, sealing the crew’s third convention victory of the season.
