LeadCon brings gaming, cosplay to historic Homestake Opera House

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) -LeadCon took over the Historic Homestake Opera House this weekend, providing video games, cosplay, and cult-classic motion pictures.

The all-ages occasion options tabletop video games, video video games, and household actions. Vendors bought artwork, collectibles, and fan merchandise.

Attendees can take part in a cosplay contest.

Paul Brown, a vendor promoting swords and knives, mentioned he wished to share his product info with a brand new group of followers.

“It’s new, and being able to be here, and to just help with the information about my products because I do a whole bunch of large cons,” Brown mentioned. “Also being able to let people know what they have for choices.”

Daniel Evans, proprietor of Queen City Dicery, displayed cube units for Dungeons and Dragons, character sheets, and sport equipment. He mentioned cube are the most well-liked merchandise.

“Just dice because lots of people call themselves dice goblins, and it’s because they collect hoards of dice,” Evans mentioned. “It’s almost like how some people would collect baseball cards, or anything like that.”

Organizers mentioned the occasion goals to deliver popular culture followers collectively.
