Santa Barbara photographer Santi Visalli was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for Photography by the American Photography Archives Group (APAG) at its latest annual awards ceremony.

The awards reception befell at APAG’s eighth Annual Conference, paying tribute to excellent achievement in pictures and archival preservation.

“Her deeply humanistic work, spanning four decades, provides an indispensable visual record of Black American experience,” APAG mentioned.

APAG is a nonprofit group that helps pictures archivists and photographers protect, manage and promote pictures’s heritage by way of training, advocacy, and recognition.
