GREEN BAY (WLUK) – ArtFest Green Bay has returned to downtown Green Bay for its fourth 12 months. The two-day occasion, organized by Downtown Green Bay, Inc. is ready up within the space of Cherry and N. Jefferson Streets.
Presented by Nicolet Bank and Pomp’s Tire, ArtFest options 130 artists, interactive demonstrations, dwell music, meals, an artwork raffle, family-friendly enjoyable, together with a neighborhood artwork mission.
“Arts and culture are at the heart of a thriving downtown,” expresses Jeff Mirkes, Executive Director of Downtown Green Bay Inc. “This festival celebrates the talent and creativity that make our community special while bringing people together to experience what our downtown has to offer. The result is more than just a great event, it’s an opportunity to support local businesses, attract new visitors, and strengthen the economic vitality of our city. Each year, the festival offers something new to discover, from emerging artists and live musical performances to unique interactive experiences, including the annual community art project. This year, we’re especially excited to introduce an art raffle and two music jam sessions, creating new opportunities for residents and visitors to engage with the arts, support the festival, and experience downtown in a memorable way.”
Located within the alley between the Hotel Northland and the Pine Street parking ramp, the neighborhood artwork mission invitations attendees of all ability ranges to go away their mark on town. People are being requested to assist paint the breeze blocks.
“The purpose is just to bring people together to work on one project, kind of foster that community and also bring some life and brightness to this alleyway and just to have something that everybody can have a little part in,” stated Annie Stenseth, the neighborhood artwork lead for the neighborhood artwork mission.
The occasion runs till 7 p.m. on Saturday and once more from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
