Nearly misplaced one other day’s swimming to the climate yesterday, which might have put a dent in my efforts to finish my swim around the Isle of Arran in help of Community of Arran Seabed Trust – COAST.

Luckily, after a two hour wait (over connoisseur sandwiches in a resort bar – no hardship), the waves subsided sufficient to permit a two hour swim and an additional 7.5km down the coast from Blackwaterfoot to Sliddery. A few learnings for me:

🦢 The swans know – about half an hour earlier than the ocean received actually hostile, a few swans cruising off Blackwaterfoot surfed into the river mouth in anticipation of the climate that was on its manner.
🌊 Waiting for the precise time of tide is price it – it is not been that apparent to me on this swim how predictable or how sturdy the tidal flows round Arran will likely be. But yesterday the ocean gave me an enormous serving to hand.
