Join Rick Steves for an Inspiring Evening of Free Travel Insights in Edmonds on January 25th!

Rick Steves will host three complimentary travel presentations at the Edmonds Center for the Arts on Saturday, Jan. 25.

The topics include:

European Travel Skills: 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Steves will provide key insights for effective European travel in 2025, covering itinerary creation, packing efficiently, managing currency or card usage, evading crowds (and pickpockets), utilizing mobile technology, navigating by train or rental vehicle, and locating accommodations and eateries.

Rick Steves’ Europe Tours: How and Why They’re So Dang Good: 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Steves will narrate the journey of his tour program, detailing its development and the distinctive features of a Rick Steves tour. He will also discuss his philosophy on training the finest guides, crafting the best itineraries, and offering travelers an exceptional experience.

Travel as a Political Act: 6 to 7:30 p.m.

According to Steves, those who view travel as a political act can enjoy the experience immensely while returning home wiser and with a greater comprehension of the contemporary world. In his presentation, Steves will elaborate on how and when individuals step outside their comfort zones deliberately, consequently gaining empathy for the remaining 96% of humanity and returning with the most invaluable of souvenirs: an expanded perspective.
