*The Metro RESA serves the next districts: Atlanta Public Schools, Buford City Schools, Clayton County Schools, Cobb County Schools, Decatur City Schools, DeKalb County Schools, Douglas County Schools, Forsyth County Schools, Fulton County Schools, Gwinnett County Schools, Marietta City Schools, and Rockdale County Schools.

When evaluating GCPS scholar efficiency to the state or Metro RESA, our college students are outperforming the area and the state in a number of areas. However, the proportion of scholars scoring proficient/distinguished is way decrease than the district would want. Gwinnett County Public Schools stays centered on rising tutorial outcomes for each scholar.

“These results reflect the hard work of our students and staff, and we are encouraged to see GCPS outperform the state on almost every Milestones assessment. At the same time, we know there is more work to do —especially in areas where we see gaps between student groups,” says Dr. Al Taylor, Interim Superintendent. “Continuous improvement is our focus, and I look forward to a deeper discussion of the data and our comprehensive response as a district at the August Board Work Session.”
