The Client Service Officer is an evolving professional role. Handles most issues independently and has some freedom to tackle complex challenges. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Possesses a good understanding of how the team and area collaborate with others to meet the objectives of the subfunction/job family. Utilizes analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires meticulous attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on factual information analysis. Typically deals with varied issues with potentially broader business implications. Applies professional discretion when interpreting data and results. Presents information in a systematic and comprehensible manner. Well-developed communication and diplomacy skills are essential to exchange potentially complex and sensitive information. Moderate yet direct impact through close interaction with the businesses’ core activities. The quality and punctuality of service provided will influence the effectiveness of both their own team and related teams.

  • To serve as a single point of contact for selected high-end discerning cardholders

  • To offer proactive and personalized account management. This entails delivering exceptional Lifestyle Concierge and account-related services (with assistance from external vendors) to Citi’s ultra-high net-worth clients, ensuring that clients’ needs are met and exceeded where possible to provide a highly memorable and valuable experience

  • To collaborate closely with the Affluent Product & Marketing team, Citigold Private Client Relationship Managers, and CitiPhone to craft a superior product and customer journey for the affluent segment collectively

  • To closely collaborate with the Banking segment (Consumer banking and Private banking) to achieve the One-Citi spirit and offer One-Citi Wealth Solutions to cardholders

  • To coordinate, supervise, and oversee the lifestyle services provided by external vendors

  • To design workflows for assigned projects and initiatives consistent with the company’s objectives

  • To appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular attention to the firm’s reputation and the safeguarding of Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, exercising sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

As an ideal candidate, you would preferably possess the following skills and experiences:

  • Minimum Degree holder or higher with at least 5 years of experience in servicing affluent clients

  • Fluent and articulate in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Familiarity with Chinese Dialects, Japanese, or European languages will be an asset

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel with the ability to adapt to new systems swiftly

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the capability of addressing intricate customer service inquiries promptly, courteously, and professionally

  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Demonstrated strong empowerment and decision-making abilities along with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A good team player, cooperative, and effective within the group

  • Willingness to attend events in the evenings and/or weekends

  • A tendency for creativity and a genuine interest in traveling, fashion, the arts, music, sports, and theater would be an advantage

  • Ability to comprehend the lifestyle of affluent individuals will be a bonus
