GREENVILLE, S.C. (WHNS/Gray News) – An unfortunate incident claimed the life of a 17-year-old employee at a recreational park in South Carolina.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office verified that the incident transpired at Frankie’s Fun Park in Greenville on Friday.
Frankie’s Fun Park is characterized as an entertainment venue featuring go-karts, arcades, and various family-oriented activities.
As per the sheriff’s office, dispatchers got a 911 call at 11:43 a.m. reporting a collision involving a forklift and a go-kart at the venue.
The victim has been identified by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office as Kamel Seveion Sewell, age 17.
Authorities stated that Sewell was operating the go-kart at the time of the collision with an industrial forklift, which was also being handled by a staff member of the park.
