“Exciting Android 15 Update: Circle Search Feature Rolls Out for Selected Nothing Smartphones!”

After the introduction of its Nothing OS 3.0 based on Android 15 earlier this month, British technology firm Nothing has disclosed that certain smartphones within its range now offer Google’s gesture-driven Circle to Search feature. In a recent post on the Nothing Community blog, the company verified that the Circle to Search capability is accessible on the Nothing Phone 2, Phone 2a, and Phone 2a Plus with the recent OS upgrade. Nothing mentioned that these devices underwent further testing to affirm their compatibility with this feature.

First launched on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and select Google Pixel gadgets, Circle to Search allows users to execute visual web searches straight from their phone screens using straightforward gestures such as circling or doodling. To enable this feature, users can long-press the home.

Nothing OS 3.0 Upgrade: New Features

• Camera Improvements: The camera functionality has been enhanced with quicker access via widgets, faster HDR processing, and improved portrait effects that adjust the blur dynamically based on the subject’s dimensions. Furthermore, low-light photography has seen advancements, and the zoom slider now presents a more user-friendly interface.
• Collaborative Widgets: This feature permits users to interact with widgets from another device directly on their own home screen, accompanied by reaction support. Currently, it is restricted to Nothing devices and operates with square-shaped Photo Widgets. Future updates are anticipated to extend compatibility to more widget formats.
• Revamped Gallery Application: A newly designed gallery app has been introduced, providing improved search and editing functions. It encompasses features such as filters, markup tools, and intelligent suggestions to facilitate photo organization and editing tasks.
• Lock Screen Upgrades: Customization of the lock screen has been enhanced, allowing access through a long press. Users can now customize their lock screens with new clock styles and an extended widget area, allowing quicker access to important information.
• Enhanced Productivity Widgets: New widgets, including the Countdown Widget, are now available to enhance productivity. This specific widget can be found through the Nothing Widgets app on Google Play later this month.
• Smart Organizer: This AI-driven smart organizer automatically categorizes apps. However, users have the option to pin their preferred apps at the top for easy access.
• Revised Quick Settings: The Quick Settings menu has been redesigned with updated graphics and a more user-friendly arrangement. Improvements to the Network & Internet and Bluetooth sections are included in this update.
• Refined Pop-up View: A pop-up view makes multitasking more efficient by enabling resizing and pinning to the screen edge. Notifications can be viewed by swiping down in the pop-up without switching from the current app. This can be activated through Settings > System > Pop-up View.
